Are there other Kimonos than listed ones on your website?

Yes, there is. Please choose the pattern when you visit the store on the day.

How about booking cancellation?

In the case of cancellation, please click cancel button from the link [See detailed plans on website] on point 3 of reservation confirmation email up to two days before the scheduled visit date. However, please note that the following cancellation fee will be charged. Cancellation up to 2 days before reservation date : Free cancellation fee Cancellation of the day before and on the day of reservation date : 100% fee will be charge.

How long does it take for dressing?

The dressing time is about 1 hour. But, it may take about 90 minutes to get dressed in Kimono during the spring and autumn, the peak seasons. Please be aware!

Do you have kimonos for tall people?

Kimono size is about 150 cm ~ 175 cm for women, about 165 cm ~ 200 cm for men and some can be expanded during the dressing. Although it can be worn around even to some extent, please note that it may be canceled if it too difficult to dress. Because we only some of extra sizes, please consult us at the time of reservation.

Do you have kimonos or hakamas for weddings and graduation ceremonies ?

Yes, we do. For more details, please check 【Dress in events】 as reference. Since you can do primary inspections anytime, please don’t hesitate to come to our stores.

What waist size you have?

About 100cm for waist size is maximum.

The price shown in the homepage is not the same as the online-paid amount.

The prices are different in Kimono and Yukata plans. You can choose 【Kimono】 or 【Yukata】 at the top of the reservation window to see the details.

Can I only use your hairdo service?

Currently, our store offers hair styling services (both paid and free) for customers using kimono rental.

2 minutes walk from Gion Shijo Station. One of the largest stores in the area, located in the middle of Gion. It is a 7 minute walk to Yasaka Shrine, making it ideal for kimono sightseeing along the Yasaka Shrine - Kiyomizu Temple route.
Kyoto Station store: JR, subway, and Kintetsu lines are available. Recommended for those who want to go to various locations by train, such as Fushimi Inari and Arashiyama.

Yasaka Shrine

It is the main shrine of Yasaka Shrines nationwide, and is said to have blessings such as matchmaking, good luck, and warding off evil spirits. The Gion Festival is held every year from July 1st to July 31st, and you can enjoy the festival in yukata.

Kiyomizu-dera is a world heritage site famous for the Kiyomizu Stage and Otowa Falls. From JR “Kyoto Station”

Take the Kyoto City Bus from "Kyoto Ekimae" and get off at "Shijo Kawaramachi". Proceed in the direction of Shijo Ohashi Bridge. Beyond Shijo Ohashi Bridge and Minamiza, you will find us on the 2nd floor of the building on the right hand side of the Japanese umbrella shop named "Hokusai Graphic" at the intersection of Yamato Oji Street and Nawate Street. It is about a 4 minute walk from the bus stop.

From Keihan “Gion Shijo Station”

Take exit 6 and turn right. We are located on the 2nd floor of the building on the right hand side of the Japanese umbrella shop named "Hokusai Graphic" at the intersection of Yamato Oji Street and Nawate Street. It is about a 1 minute walk from the exit.

From Hankyu “Kyoto Kawaramachi Station”

Take exit 1A and proceed towards Shijo Ohashi Bridge. Beyond Shijo Ohashi Bridge and Minamiza, you will find us on the 2nd floor of the building on the right side of the Japanese umbrella shop named "Hokusai Graphic" at the intersection of Yamato Oji Street and Nawate Street. It's about a 4 minute walk from the exit.

Taxi Directions:

Tell the taxi driver that you want to go to the intersection of Yamato Oji Street and Nawate Street of Minamiza. Here you will see the Japanese umbrella shop "Hokusai Graphic". We are located on the second floor of the building on it's right side.

Bus

From Keihan Bus "Shijo Keihan (Gion Shijo Station)"

Get off the train and proceed to the left. We are located on the 2nd floor of the building on the right side of the Japanese umbrella shop "Hokusai Graphic" at the intersection of Yamato Oji Street and Nawate Street. It is about a 2 minutes walk from the bus stop.

Walking Directions from Yasaka Shrine Nishiromon:

If coming from Yasaka Shrine

Exit Yasaka Shrine Nishiromon Gate and cross the pedestrian crossing on your left. Go straight ahead, and go to the intersection of Yamato Oji Street and Nawate Street. Here you will find the Japanese umbrella shop "Hokusai Graphic", and we are located on the second floor of the building on it's right side. It is about a 6 minutes walk from the exit.
