Voice of Store Staff

Q.What kind of customers do you have?

Asakusa Store Staff

Asakusa is mainly visited by domestic and foreign tourists, but Asakusa is visited by many people from overseas, so we have a large number of overseas customers. In the summer, the area is crowded with people watching fireworks held in various places, but the Sumida River Fireworks Festival in particular is held so close that it can be seen from the store floor, making it the busiest time of the year.

Q.What are you doing renting a kimono?

Asakusa Store Staff

Most of the people go to Asakusa sightseeing such as Sensoji Temple. Asakusa has a lot of delicious food, so eating while walking and visiting cafes is popular! It is also often used for events and promotions in the neighborhood. There are many photogenic spots, and people enjoy taking photos around Sensoji Temple and on rickshaws, and many customers also take photos in Asakusa Yokocho, where the store is located. It is crowded with people who go to fireworks festivals held not only at Sumida River but also at Edogawa and Jingu shrines in Tokyo.

Q.What kind of kimono is popular?

Asakusa Store Staff

Many people who have researched kimono photos that can be taken in Asakusa on social media in advance say, ``I want to wear a kimono like this'' in the photos, but in the end there are many different kimonos in the store, so in the end there are many kinds of kimonos that can be taken in Asakusa. I think a lot of people make decisions based on comparisons. The obi can make a completely different impression, so the staff will be very happy if we make various suggestions. Recently, kimonos in muted colors have become popular, and the retro-modern homongi is especially popular. People from overseas are also coordinated with fukuro obi and Nagoya obi, and the traditional style is wonderful! I'm glad.

Q.Visit - Experience - Return flow

Asakusa Store Staff

Asakusa is bustling with tourists all day long, so there are many people who can rent a car in the morning, some who can rent it in the late afternoon, and some who just pop in without a reservation. I just want to take photos in the evening! There are also customers who come to the store and choose to return the item the next day because Sensoji Temple is so beautiful lit up at night, and enjoy it at their leisure.

Q.Asakusa Store’s appeal points

Asakusa Store Staff

The floor where the store is located is called Asakusa Yokomachi, and there are several restaurants adjacent to it. Couples renting a car often have to wait for the other person to get dressed, but we give out soft drink coupons for Asakusa Yokomachi to those who are meeting, so they can sit and wait while having a drink. Masu. Another selling point is that Asakusa Yokomachi itself is a popular photo spot.
