I visited Wargo for my first kimono experience on my birthday and it was a great memory. The shop is 5 mins by cab from Kawagoeshi station. I’d recommend booking an early morning slot even though there is a 1000 yen early fee, you have to return everything by 16h30 sharp and the shop isn't in the very center, so you’ll want the extra time. The standard package is pretty basic, so I upgraded the kimono, obi, bag, and hair to look more authentic. My total came to 17000 yen. The hair styling in the package is very simple, so expect to pay 1000 or 2000 yen extra for the styles you see in photos. The kimono I picked was popular and looked a bit worn with a small stain, but I kept it as they had no other colors like it. The staff were nice, though the front desk was a bit rushed since I was late. The stylists were much friendlier and made me feel comfortable. Even my Japanese friends said I looked authentic, so overall it was a lovely experience.
